Hey! My friend has a bit she found in an locker at our old barn. It's in nice condition except there is rubber on it and it is broken. We would like to take this off since it is ripped and tornen. We are also planing to sterilize the bit in VERY hot water. Is this a good idea? And is it safe to take the rubber off the bit??? [Confused]
