My pony, Sugargfoot, is real stuborn when I ride her. Should I follow my dream and still ride her? If I ride her, I could get hurt. [Frown]

What is your horse doing that she is so stubborn at, and that could hurt you? I think you should work on the problems, and continue to ride. !!Wear a helmet!! Just keep training, and keep riding, hopefully your horse will get over the stubborness, or you can know how to handle it. Remember, dont let your horse get away with things, from then on your horse will know it can get away with it [Big Grin]

Don't ever "not ride" a horse if they're being stubborn. The only way to break a horse of being stubborn is to work with them and ride the stubbornness out of them.

never give up on your pony! ponys can change! Rocky my pony is a little buggar!!! he is a show pony and thinks his a rodeo horse on the flat! but if i get jumps out his an angel!!! try to find what your pony likes doing and work from there! cos rocky is very fizzy i lunge him once a week for 10mins and sometimes before i ride if its windy! and it calms him down but DONT DO TO MUCH 20mins lunge is like an hour and a half hack and it will make them extremmly fit and be caplble of being stronger but if you do it once a week for 10mins it will do the trick!!

When things get hard it is not the time to stop trying it is the time to try harder. if the problems are really that bad break things down and go right back to the roots of her training start simple and slowly rebuild what you had with her. it will take time and patience but u will get there if you keep at it. dont be constantly worried about falling off because that will get you no where we all fall off sometimes but dont let it put you off.

When you stop riding her, she wins. Don't let her win. And stop worrying about getting hurt. You ride horses. Your going to get hurt by one thing or another.

Hey Yall I have a stubborn pony 2! i need help! she is really stubborn and she likes my friend and only bucked 1ce with her but she hates me! she scared me the first day i had her and shes taken advantage of me but i dont want to be scared of her i want to ride her but she could hurt me! she almost landed on my head after throwin me 1 time and when she bucks she bucks till your off any1 know how to fix it?
