Really depends on what you're going to use them for.

Personally, I'd rather wrap. Boots are widely used though,so enjoy them!

Boots give you the ease of quick on and off. Give just as much support as wrapping does.
I love my SMBII's to death. My horse trips and so they come in handy big time protecting his cannon bones from his rear hooves. We started poles and JUMPED the other day, and he did excellent.
Though I have been told by other riders, open front boots are better for jumping. So it all depends on what you want to do.
