I get to lease cinnamon [Red Horse] and I just found out from a little listen and pick from my big mouthed mother that a bridle(ive never had one of my own before!),a saddle a girth and stirrup irons are coming my way and a saddle pad of course [Big Grin] . IM really excited I never get new things and plus its a gift from my insructor she picked it out! I love Aunt Syd shes the best. [Help!] Im not real sure about the bridle thing Ive never had one of my own all the ones ive used are fitted to the horse Im on and Im not much good with bits if anyone could give me bit and bridle 101 class that would be great! [Bow] I know like the parts but the different types just throw me off completely! [Bawling] So if anyone would mind telling me what bit is used when and what they are like shape wise Ive had a brief class on it and I basically know when syd tells me not to do something I dont do it or I do it if she tells me to and I know what she tells me and she doesnt tell me much about bits A good link would be helpful to one with good pictures and captions thanks!

Safest thing to do is ask the owner what she is riding in now.... Go with that. Especially in leases, you don't want to change too much when you take over a horse.

Go with what is being used now. Unless it's inappropriate.

I dont want to change the bit just a little lesson on bits Ive never had my own bridle before and never had to mess with bits to much. I think syd has orderd the bit for cinnamon Im not sure though. But now that I have my own I think it would be nice to know about what kind of stuff Im going to put on there just the basics simple and easy thats all [Smile]
