HI. I was wondering how often should I change my stirrup pads? The ones I use now are the bristle - tread kind of and they are 3 years old. Should I change them or not? Thanks.

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but why would you change them unless they were cracked or falling apart. Unless you were showing and they just didn't look good anymore?

Hi,

It is a good idea to change them when they need it, i get news ones when they start turning brown(because of showing). my last show i went to i ended up doing pre-childrens w/o stirrups b/c my pads where completely stripped. it was a funny sight!! change them if you are going to shows, but always keep around the other ones to just in case, like trail riding or something, you can spray paint them orange just in case you get caught out at night.

You can keep a seperate set of pads specifically for showing. Otherwise, we don't change pads until they become dried, cracked, worn down, etc.
