You would have to measure her.

Hi, when measuring her, start at the chest, and measure in inches, move you was down to her butt, always add an inch onto her size, as some blankets may be made small, when buying a blanket, they will ask what size you need, it will be in inches! I would also find a company that specialy makes blankets for cobs or ponies. A good brand is, Rhino, check out www.doversaddlery.com and www.statelinetack.com

12hh pony, 5ft rug that's 60in, or 154cm, if the pony is quite fine, you might get away with a 4ft 9in or 57in or 145cm.
Don't know what measurments you work in so put them all.
That's ready made.

u measure from the chest to the tail. u should buy 3 blankets, one light, one medium, and one heavy. the light one should be the axact measurement that u measured, the medium one should be an inch bigger, and the heavy one should be 2 inches bigger then the light. that way if it gets VERY cold u can put them all on and they fit so ur horse stays warm.

My 11.2 pony measures 4ft7in but has a 4ft9in turnout, you should definetely measure your pony though.

Pic is 12hh,
He has 3 T/O, All Horseware, a Rambo Wug Rain sheet, that's 5ft, a Lightweight Rhino, thats 4ft 9ins, bit short but snug (was Candys, she was a bit smaller than him, and a heavier Rambo, thats 5ft, so in general, when I make a rug for a 12hh pony, I go with 5ft, unless they tell me it is a little larger or smaller round the neck, this is where ready made rugs can cause you problems, that why I now make my own now. But as the others said measure, from the centre of the ponies chest, to the furtherest part of it's hind leg. then had a couple of inches to allow for the rump. If you are buying off the peg so to speak, you will have to round it up, better to go an inch or so more, than less, otherwise could rub.
I will do a post as promised on making your own rugs, I started 8 years ago, and havn't looked back, got orders, and repairs. Pays for Feed and vet bills.
