Hi,

I'm really looking into spending alot of money on a myler bit so my horse cna be comfortable. I was just wondering if anyone has used them, or what they would suggest another nice bit to use that isnt going to pinch or confuse my horse.

Thanks
Liz

hmmm, how old is the horse you are wanting to find a bit for? I know I started mine in a dee ring snaffle and haven't had any problems with it. If the bit fits properly, you shouldn't have any confusion or uncomfort with it. Make sure teeth and bit fit check out ok. I have never felt the need to go buy a 150-200 dollar bit, but my horse responds well to what I am using. I have, however heard good things about Mylar Bits, I guess it is just what you want to spend:) I know, I probably wasn't much help....Beth [Big Grin]

Hi,
My horse is very strong in the mouth she was started on a dee ring, and she never respopnded well at all. I have trianed 4 horses and ive never had one that didnt go well with a regular snaffle. She did good with the jointed pelham that i bought for her, but id still like something thats going to be more comfortable. I was going to buy the dee ring snaffle with the slots on the actual ring, that way it does put some pressure on the poll. Trust me if she was fine with the bit i have now, id use it but she isnt, and yes her teeth are fine and the bit fits her perfectly shes just strong in the mouth.

I love mylers. They are like wonderful. The only reason that I would consider buying one (I don't actually own one) is because you can move each side independently. IMO, that's worth the extra bucks.
