Topic: Flea bitten grey?

I recently recieved a very nice appy that was a prior race horse. He was extremely malnourished but has steadily been putting on wieght. he has a nice coat but he is completely bumpy on his skin. I was told this is called flea bitten grey. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. He is a nine year old papered thourobred gelding.

um no its not well in new zealand i am sure every else a flea bitten grey is a grey with chestnut/ black specs throughout it. my pony is mainly white with a few fleabites but no thats not a flea bitten grey

what could it be then? they feel like small bumps over entire horse.

well my pony sometimes gets lumps but that is because his sweat glands block up, im sorry i wouldnt have a clue they could be blocked sweat glands. Does he have ticks? or could be anything how old is he?

If he is a registered TB, then he is not an appy, sorry. As for his bumps, a flea bitten grey is a color, white horse with tiny brown dots, which are not raised in any way. If your horse has lumps, then it sounds like hives, bug bites or an allergy.
