Here the problem. My friend went to a stallion parade in Sacramento and found a really nice APHA stallion. She bought a breeding to him last year. She now has a beautiful filly. (Grulla Overo) The BIG PROBLEM is the lady who owns the stallion never sent in a stallion report or had him DNA'd. She has no phone ## or address that we can reach her at. She has been moving from place to place from what we hear.

The registry said we could find him and send in DNA sample (20-30 mane hairs). We can't find the stallion. He is no longer where he was being boarded last year when we took her mare to him. We drove over 5 hours up there because it is unfortunate the stallion handler does not believe in phones. WHAT A PAIN!!

Anyhow, we have her sisters ## and she doesn't know where the owner is either. She is desperate to get this foal registered, Does anyone have any ideas or ways about getting this done with out the whereabouts of the stallion?

The stallions name is GAMBLING WITH SILVER. The owners name is Linda Humphrey. She was last seen in the Red Bluff/Corning area of California.ANy help would be great!!!!!

Unless you can get the Stallion owner to file her stallion report with the mare listed on it your outta luck with the APHA...as I don't know if they have a Hardship clause or not.

The owner of the filly might want to look into registering her with the PtHA as another option.

She could try posting her search on the Horses Of The West Coast forum or other Califorina Horse Groups like it in hopes of locating the stallion Owner. There are several different horse groups and organizations in California whose members might be willing to help her in her search. I think that would be the best of the options left.
