Just updating here, my little horror Jess is definately pregnant. Already have a buyer for the foal (if its a colt, will keep a filly). so its nine 1/2 months till D-day. these blinkin horses - i just got down to four and now i'm already lined up for another gonna have to do something about my excess of horses soon. hmmm perhaps Gary will want ellie for games - sorry thinking aloud now, i'm done i promise.

Glad you have a buyer already. Good luck.

Print out the slaughter thread and read it aloud to the pony maybe you can get her to . Otherwise the 'wind of heaven blowing thru (your pony's) ears' may be going from side to side!

Congratulaions Lou. I'm sure everything will work out for you. You have such nice acomplished ponies, I'm not surprised you have already found a buyer.
CJ, I don't understand your remark at all. I did not read the whole slaughter thread as it has been overdone many times in the past.

thanks Belle4. little snot that she is just HAD to have another baby, this is the second time this last few years she's jumped into a stallion's paddock while in heat. Despite our best attempts to keep her out! Oh well, she did have a beautiful baby a few years ago! I get ya CJ, but i have a feeling our Jess would just laugh and say "but my babies are so wonderful" she's a little toad like that. Luckily her last baby is now winning LOADS on the working hunter circuit and showjumping successfully (he's four or five now i think), since the forthcoming foal is a similar cross it should do the same, unless its some sort of reject throwback. lou

I just can't believe how many surprise pregnancies there have been on here recently! Who owns the stud btw?

no its my aunties stallion. She hobby breeds riding ponies (well she has two mares that she breeds occasionally). Clint is her first homebred stallion, before she's always had them gelded and sold, still trying to decide on Clint cause he has beautiful movement and she's been wanting a home bred stallion for a while. I think he's Dorlyn bred (most of our ponies seem to be. lol.) I know his grandsire is a pony called Romany Jonjo (based near Newcastle). Not entirely sure on his sire though. I WISH it was Jamie's foal (our sec A) - but he's only 12hh - i'd be surprised if he COULD do anything if she jumped in with him. lol. Plus he lives in Newcastle with my parents and younger sister and Jess lives in Glasgow - thats a LOT of fences to jump. lol. Lou

Well, you just never know. She's seems awfully keen. Perhaps you should go looking over there next time you see she's hopped the fence! LOL!!
