Ok here's #13 [Big Grin] She was actually born on April 1 with the other 2,but this is the first chance I got to take a pic [Wink] We had turned the other mares and babies out for the day and she was out there with them, but when we brought them in for the night there was an extra!! It's a BS filly out of Simply Tradition and a KO First Clu bred mare.

Oh I love her! Nice markings (the ones I can see anyways). It would have been a wonderful, yet shocking surprise!! [Big Grin]

yeah she's quite cute, but unfortunately has a bum leg at the moment. [Frown] Her front left leg tendons were pulled funny when she was tucked up in momma, so her leg kinda pulls itself under in front like she's walking on her toe, instead of flat. Gonna put a splint on her tomorrow to help support and relax those tendons.

no, there are no webcams, although quite a few people have mentioned that one should be put up. [Razz]

Don't worry, she'll get over the tendon issue! We had one like that too. He was so big that his legs were curled up funny inside mom and he walked on his pasterns for a few weeks after he was born. He's fine now though.

When I was younger I used to ride along with our vet and give her a hand in the summers. We often used to see foals with leg issues but she told me that with proper care or physical therapy they all recover(well in most cases, but she said it all depends on the owners efforts). We would go back in a few weeks time to check up and sure enough you were never able to tell the foal ever had a problem - she said with foals its a very normal occurrance to have them born with leg issues. (I'm sure you all already know this but I thought I would put in my 2 cents any how [Blushing] )
