my 6yr old thoroughbred has recently contracted lice off 3 horses that are poorly looked after, these horses are pulling thier fur out and look skinny and lifeless. i dont want mine to end up like this, this is the first time i have ecer had to deal with this sort of situation, i have tried powders wormers and shampoos, could any one give me some tips please? The horses I know that had lice were not dull and lifeless. I don't know how long they had it though. I immediately told the owner and he bought this powder stuf. He powdered ever horse in that pasture and he hasn't seen them since. He took the horses to the vet and the vet told him what to get. I believe he bought a farnam brand.

you need to separate and treat youre horse and you need to be carefull you could get them to!!

there was a horse at my barn, a rescue that had lice and we used the human lice treatment that you buy at the pharmacy on him and kept him seperate until it was gone. It also helps to clip the horse, it makes it easier to see how bad it really is. the lice was actually discovered whole body clipping the horse.
